Help, Transmission Doing Odd Things

Advice required, my 06 3.3 limited xs has started playing up.

It started on the motorway put my foot down to accelerate form 60 and it just started juddering (like it couldn't kick down) luckily not far from home, it was really struggling by the time I got home, sitting at lights it was just juddering, had to keep dropping into neutral. Got home and it actually stalled the engine whilst stationary and in gear.

Sounds like a similar probably to the one I have, not the same. I would suggest you have torque converter failure. This is a unit that sits between the engine and the gearbox a bit like an automatic clutch.

Expensive, I believe.

Drove it a few days later and it was fine, error code says misfire, so I'm hoping it's a sensor playing up, it's being checked next week so fingers crossed it won't be so expensive
