HeatherClifford22
My grand voyager has developed a couple of issues my brake light on one side has stopped working - Will I need to try and get a full back light panel or is this an easy fix at the garage? also my key fobs have stopped working - this seems to be a car issue rather than a key issue - any ideas? Emm
Hi, Hope you got sorted if not I hope this helps. If only one side brake light working it is probably just the bulb. Easy fix... Instructions in owners handbook. Just make sure you put bulb in the right way round. The pins sticking out of the base of the bulb are different distances so the bulb will only fit one way round. (It can be forced in the wrong way round.) If central locking still works from door switch it will probably be the battery in the key fob... Either flat or bad contact. It could be the contact strip which goes between the circuit board and the rubber buttons. Replacements are available on ebay. If central locking does not work at all try resetting it. Take key out of ignition. Under the bonnet on the left side is a black box labelled IPS. Squeeze the two tabs and lift the lid off. Near the front left corner is a fuse which should be green with the number 15 in white on it. Pull it out and wait for 10 seconds. Put it back in. (You will get a little spark but nothing dangerous.) DO NOT START THE ENGINE. Switch the ignition on but do not start the engine. There may be a red warning light but they should all clear normally. Switch off the ignition and test the central locking. It should now work normally. Don't forget to put the cover back on the IPS box... If water gets in there it will do a lot of damage. I hope this helps.
