A friend of mine has gearbox issue on diesel auto as below 50 K from new original owner
Yes it’s an odd one with the gearbox, if the box has been changing up and down a lot for instance twisty country lanes it will eventually stick in second gear, you have to floor the accelerator (over rev) and then lift off before it will change up ! I’ve had an oil and filter change done to the box but hasn’t made any difference, garage did say that there was a large amount of filings on the magnets in the sump of the box, but then the car does a lot of town driving so no wiser, motorway driving is fine and starting from cold…………. Be interested to see what people say.
