power steering

Grand Voyager 2.8l 2007

 

Power steering blew on M40 [noticed hard steering, pulled over was empty, filled up, empty again 1 mile] Any help on part numbers plus sources for constituent parts like hoses/pump etc.

Havent investigated as yet. Took me from Tuesday lunch to Thursday late to get 80 mile to home via recovery [700 quid by AA..10 MILES PER TIME..thats why its called RELAY]

Ooh that's blooming rubbish service pal. Sadly all I could suggest would be Mopar wholesale website in the USA.

See who's breaking what on eBay if you're after a pump or rack.

Any local hydraulic hose company should be able to repair hose failures by swaging a new section in.

I used to use a company called Pirtex many moons ago, not cheap but excellent quality.

Got under this morning after putting fluid in [got somebody to turn steering]..Peeing out of the rack. Hoses are fine as is pump [it appears] Sadly had that rack built less than 1000 miles ago...not correctly it appears.

I would suggest you have serious words with whoever rebuilt your rack, you should have recourse on them for full rectification.
