slash
The aircon will not work, took the car to a garage today and they tried to recharge the system. They told me it was not possible to do this as there is a blockage in the circuit. Is there some filter or other source of a blockage?Any ideas on how to get the chiller working? Thanks
0 TrevH
I am having the same problem.Took my voyager to have the aircon re-gassed. Instead of filling with 1 litre, it would only fill with 120ml. Anyone got any suggestions?
0 andyb2000
Hi TrevH, that sounds like a slightly different problem, did they say to you a blockage, as it may be that your system is charged but not working? Does the aircon clutch kick in when you turn the air con on (put it on lo, and make sure the air-con star symbol is on whilst engine running, after a few seconds you should hear a click in the engine bay and the engine may dip a little in revs as it engages). If no click or anything then it's probably like my last GV and it has a seized up clutch which is an expensive job because of getting to it. Slash, sorry not sure on a blocked system (how did they diagnose this?) as I don't think that's too common.
0 macuniyanukukuk
Hi I had the same problem. Gassed it up and the gas came gushing out. Went to a few mechanics and was told it was the air con pump. Wasnt convinced so called a specialist air con engineer who narrowed it down to a blocked pipe. Main dealer for the pipe was £92+vat.Managed to pick one up from the scrap yard for £40.Basically you need someone who is a specialist in vehicle air con.
