I have a 15,000 mile 2009 plate 300C and have had it for almost 2 years. The EML light came on about a year ago and this was fixed by replacing a faulty crank position sensor.
The car has been stood for about a week and when I came to start it up it ran really rough as though on 4 or 5 cylinders. It started to improve after a minute or so but when I drove off the EML light came on and it was in limp mode with a maximum speed of 40 mph or so. After a couple of minutes the ETC red warning light started flashing.
Removing the key and re-starting sometimes makes it drive normally for a short distance then EML & ETC lights come on again.

What is the likely cause of these fault codes?
