Phoned up my local garage, for a quote on a new cam belt and water pump, as there is no service history with the car. They have told me they cannot do the job as they don't have the specialist tools. I think they just don't want the job, because I believe it can be done without special tools. Although the 3 locking pins help! So now I need another garage. Jock Posted February 18, 2023 Report Share Posted February 18, 2023 Hi Max, you will find a lot of garages not interested in doing a cambelt (don't forget the water pump at same time) on these cars if that £500 includes parts which are around £150-200 then good.
