I am advised to get a new engine (£1000). my car is an auto, does anyone know of any pitfalls in having an engine swapped over? Any help/advice appreciated. I am in the midst of an engine swap on my 07 2.8 GV and having issues with starting after reconnecting everything. Any info would be greatly appreciated. 0 Dazandtrace Posted April 30, 2016 Report Share Posted April 30, 2016 You say you had your car 5 months if you bought it from a dealer the law states it is cover by sale of goods act that's for the first 6 months to cover any repairs refund or replacement. Not many people know this. Please look up sale of goods act on a uesd vehicle.
