Uppgrade Aftermarked Audio.

Hi, im trying to uppgrade the old radio in a 2,8 CRD 2006 to a new on with factory harness from Metra, but there is no power when trying to connect the radio, i dont think a have a amp installed and no stearing controls, see pics.

Any tips would be helpful.

Presumably you could hotwire it straight off the battery, with an inline fuse for protection against spikes ?

I've done quite a bit on replacement head units and the wiring used and unfortunately there are a LOT of variations out there. I've worked on a few (2 of my own) and found them to be the same spec car but different wiring to the radio so I've still yet to find a correct 100% way of knowing.

 

All I can suggest is you read a couple of posts I put a few years ago on my website that covered this and see if it gives you any tips as unfortunately I don't own a CGV any more so can't nip outside and find you the power supply wire you need!
