Secret
Well after months of looking for a 300C last year I managed find a 2010 low mileage 300C SR saloon, 26k on the clock, managed to squeeze a few miles before lockdown and loved every minute of driving, drove for a couple of weeks and the EML came on intermittently, took it for a service at an indi Chrysler garage, while it was in the fault was clear, so they could not find a fault code, EML came on 3 days after service, the light stays on for a couple of days then goes off for a few days, a few weeks after being serviced had the car remapped, what a difference in performance, the guy who did the remap cleared the EML, told me it was a lambda sensor, EML stayed off for a few weeks then started to be intermittent again, I only use Ferrari juice or BP Ultimate, put some fuel system cleaner in, sometimes at which point the EML goes off for a week or so, well the latest, had an emergency stop having to brake really hard, surprised how quickly it stopped, day after the ABS - ESP lights came on, another one, whilst out driving the red lighting bolt came on, pulled over, turned the engine off, left it for 5 mins started no problems and no lighting bolt, I thought I would use the car for a few months before making any comments, just to get some idea what the car is like to live with, from reading posts and reviews before I bought the car I was aware there are some electrical gremlins, you just hope don't you, since the latest fault lights I'm going to book it in, my days of repairing cars are over, has anybody used Halfords to have repairs done on these cars, when I had a lease car I had to use Halfords and always found them to be very good, now the initial honeymoon is over I still love it, in the past I have had jags, BM's, Audi, this is the first car in which all 5 of us are sitting in comfort and plenty of space, my eldest lad is 6"5 sits in the rear with space, I find it just as refined if not more than all my previous cars, power on tap, comfort, all for 6k. Any advice welcome.
