Chrysler Breakdown Or Stay With Own

Hi Folks

 

My annual pay for using the car (insurance, MOT, breakdown cover, Road Tax) is due within a month or so.

 

Has anyone used Chrysler breakdown cover (Home start / recovery / continental) with any vehicle?

If so, feedback appreciated.

 

Has anyone renewed in the UK?

There seems to be little on either - maybe because we are Lancia rebadged Deltas, and I am googling in the wrong area.

ISTR that my subs from last year (Home start / recovery / continental), where in the region of £79 by Europ Mondial - cannot accurately state, as its lump summed in the receipt that I have on the laptop.

I've had the chrysler priveledge/elite when I bought my car and have used them twice and i have to say it was great,they came out and fixed my problem the first time and sent a truck out to move my car the last time. I'm not sure of the costs but I am thinking of renewing it when it ends

I haven't as I usually get free breakdown with my insurance policy...

Have contacted C UK - well sent to a C dealer

 

£399 for a year - warrantee extension and breakdown.

 

Could not quote me for a years breakdown, so as mine is about £40 / year for breakdown, I think I will save a few £ and opt for that.

Got a quote for the 4 year service from local dealer and nearly fell on the floor, pushing on towards 500! I've bought genuine parts from shop4parts and my local independent is doing it instead

How many miles on the clock for the 4 year service?

 

I'm hoping just to go for an oil / fluids / .... for the three year.

 

Having only traveled 6k miles, a light service this year and then the medium heavy service next ....

 

Are the major services every 20k?

on diesels 21000 or every two years but oil changes can be earlier depending on use, oil degradation counter will trigger oil change light as and when it needs changing if its before the service (depends on use if used exclusively on short runs oil must be changed more frequently). there are no recommended intermittent services  only the 21k/2year plus oil changes as required. Mine has gone the full 21k since the last service which I had done by the dealer when I bought the car at 10k.
