conway Posted February 9, 2015 Report Share Posted February 9, 2015 Hi guys Looking for help with updating the maps on the factory installed SatNav in GV (60 plate) - NavTeq. I think we need a disc rather than USB plug in but local dealer is looking at £3-400 plus VAT. Anyone have any other options? Or want to look at 'disc sharing' with us? If one trolls the internet, you may find a disc, but you need the unlock codes as well. For me the upgrade is £149 I've decided that the amount of time that I will use it, in the UK - I can cope. The majority of the roads in France, have a 'parallel aspect' in upgrades - so am happy. When I had my Garmin, I could upgrade under the lifetime user, which I did periodically, but the amount of road changes are so sporadic, that you can often cope without the expense. My sister is a lot better off, she lives out in the sticks near Diss, Norfolk. The only upgrade around her, that was not registered with Garmin for at least two years, was a bypass at Scone(?)
