My Chrysler grand voyager 54 plate 2.8crd has been off the road for over a year. Getting it ready to go for its MOT and get it back on th me road. The automatic gear lever was extremely stiff to move and was not possible to select all gears. Thinking it ways just a bit tight/seized up from car sitting for so long, thought maybe it might work itself loose. Instead i’ce Lost all gears, lever moves freely up and down but does not connect to any of the gears. Could this be a gear linkage cable needing replaced.? Or could this be something else.?
The car was not being driven at the time and was parked up with handbrake applied while trying to work through the gears selections.
