Headlamp Washer Question

Hi guys. I have a 56 reg GV that seems to have everything but the front bumper has plastic parts in front of the headlamps that I assume as washers.

Can anyone tell me how they work please |(obviously mine don't seem to) as I have tried them with lights on and off with no water coming out?

I hope someone can point me at potential problem areas or even tell me if they are actually fitted (how to find out?).

I noticed on my mk v that both of the pipes had come off the actual washer units. I was going through 5 litres of screen wash really quickly ? anyhow, I simply jacked up the front of the car slightly and reached up inside the bumper and re attached them. Other than that you could check the fuse.

From what I remember, they don’t pop up every time... I think they pop up and spray the lights every 3 or 4 times you spray the windscreen.
