Hello - New Gv Owner With Queries

Hi - I have just purchased a 2004 Stow n Go Grand Voyager 2.8CRD Auto Limited.

It has 82k miles and no service history.

 

I have a few queries;

 

1. What mileage is the Cambelt change due?

2. Where do you recommend getting service parts from?

3. What components should I be changing as part of this major service?

4. I have an issue with the central locking not opening/closing the driver side sliding door - could this be the motor or should i check other things first?

5. Is there anywhere I can get a set of original user manuals?  Were missing with the car.

6. I have a missing parking sensor on the back bumper and an error on the front screen - are these easily replaced?

door check to see if there a voltage going to the door first

parking sensor should bee a simple plug in replacement

If your unsure of the service history, i would be inclined to just get on and do the timing belt kit.

Major service would be all the filters, brake fluid and antifreeze.

Tha sliding door may have a broken wire in the ladder track, most common.

Hi , I have just purchased a 2008 crd auto and the drivers sliding door opens and closes fine but as yours the central locking doesn't secure the door, did you fix yours ??? If so how ???

Don't know about the 2008 version but I got a central locking motor delivered from the USA for under £22, from ebay.

Its simple to test but involves taking the interior door cover off and taking the motor out, mine was "twitching" not moving up or down.

And on the earlier versions its the same motor for both sides, came with 2 different actuator arms!

As has been said broken wires in the track are common too, but usually result in sliding problems.
