Front Sidelight Replacement 2007 Grand Voyager

Good afternoon.

 

Sidelight's gone out on the offside front for my 2007 Grand Voyager. Followed the instructions in the handbook and removed the whole headlight assembly and removed the rear grey plastic cover for the sidelight and outside headlight. Able to get the headlight bulb removed but the sidelight is about a half an inch further away than I can reach with my fingers. I'm doing this wrong aren't I....

 

Any suggestions please.

Hi I just pulled the wire gently and pulled it out and pushed in with my finger tips job done.

If you can't quite reach it - long nose angle tip pliers - gently does it with the glass bulb, but if you break it, it will probably shake out.

WOW!! I was just going to post the same issue as I tried this very same job yesterday also!! Looked at the vids on Youtube and nothing was the same! The headlight wasn't the easiest to slide out and the side light seemed to be molded into the whole unit...did my head right in. Was beginning to think that I had to get to it from the front. Please do report back on how you got on.

Thanks for the suggestions but I've chickened out and given it to a man in overalls. I suspect this bulb's going to cost 40 quid
