0 bignev
I don't know on yours, have you got the rest of that picture? Only half the box on there. I'm on petrol so didn't spot if I've got a "Transmission" shut down, but got an EATX one?? Not got time to check right now sorry. Can you see "TCM" anywhere? But it could be a combined unit on yours with the Power Control Module relay..... so the one you mention may be it - swap another one that you know works out of another component. 0 Dudge
Hi, I'm also looking for the TCM relay. I've found a great vid on youtube to help diagnose the problem I've got, but it's based on petrol cars where the relay is in the fuse box. On diesels, it isn't. I've looked at the slam panel, but the ones that I can see are marked in the documentation I've found as 3 of them being for the cooling fans & the others for the glow plugs. Any help would be VERY much appreciated.....
0 ahmet
I had similar problem with p0700 in limp mode in my 2.8 crd. on recommendation of one of my friends who owns a voyager IV, I have inter changed some of the relays in the front of hood above the radiator. the engine light disappeared and tcm problem solved. I thought they were for the AC fan but they are also related with TCM. strange.
0 andyb2000
The TCM relay on the mk 4 CGV diesel's is supposed to be on the slam panel, HOWEVER there has been one I saw that had it on the loom almost under the battery tray. All I can assume is that at some point it fell off/came off the slam panel and was taped there, so look all around the area where the relays are on the front panel, follow the loom down as that's also where it feeds down to the connector for the autobox itself, you'll find it either on the slam or down that way on the loom. Good luck and take photos.
