I have recently bought a replacement CD/Radio unit and do not have the radio/master code for it. I have looked online and they all require a 14 digit serial number to unlock the code - I have two units and neither have the serial number on.

 

Does anybody know if there is another way to get the code?

Are you sure it should be 14 digits long? It must be one of those on top of the head unit surely?

 

In answer to your question though, no. It's the only way as far as I'm aware. I've had to request codes a few times for various Alfa's in the past, and that was what they wanted. There used to be a guy on Alfa Owner that did it for free. You just posted the serial number on the thread and he replied with the code.

Is it worth sending them the pics and seeing if one of them matches? Sometimes it could be on one of them you don't use the letters for example.

Unfortunately I've already tried that and they couldn't find anything.

Looks like you're screwed then! Always a gamble when you buy a second hand head unit without the code...
