Italianstallionxx
HelloJust wanted to know how you test an electric feed on 2007 Grand Voyager Exec X'S. My sliding door actuator had given up. I put a test light on it and nothing lights upI put a multi metre on it and no feeds when I use the fobs. But I know there is a feed there as the actuator twitches a bit,nit enough to lock the doors. So.........how do I test for feeds apart from buying new actuator and fit it......an expensive path if it's not that Help much appreciated
0 bignev
If you are talking about the locking actuator, the simplest thing to do is get the one off the other door and try it, they are the same with the arm being handed, but if it twitches and is unable to pull the latch up or down it's pretty much certainly dead. They can usually be had new off ebay for sensible money.
0 Italianstallionxx
Ok So as for the voltage readings, why could I not get a reading ?

0 bignev
Don't know on that one, unless it's so brief it didn't register on the meter.
0 andyb2000
Suspect that you might be testing the CANBUS network feed which probably carries the trigger signal for the door actuators rather than a "classic" voltage high to run the motor.I'm just guessing here though, would need to dig out the wiring diagrams, but based on other things on these I'd expect there to be constant 12v feed, then a signal/CANBUS wire that signals to the electrics in the door/actuator to operate. Agree with bignev though, if it twitches, then it's getting the signal to operate just motor has gone weak or the internal plastic wheel has chewed up. Hello
Just wanted to know how you test an electric feed on 2007 Grand Voyager Exec X'S.
My sliding door actuator had given up. I put a test light on it and nothing lights up
I put a multi metre on it and no feeds when I use the fobs.
But I know there is a feed there as the actuator twitches a bit,nit enough to lock the doors.
So.........how do I test for feeds apart from buying new actuator and fit it......an expensive path if it's not that
Help much appreciated
