0 Grandadssupervan
Hello mate..I’m fairly new here too...does yours do it when pulling away from a standstill and does it also do it while sitting still in drive at traffic lights for instance? 0 blackvelvet
No my car did it only while moving. My mistake was associating the whole deal with the fluid change.I spent all day on the car myself., it was a number of problems that occured all at the same time.Transmission was a litre short, garage's fault, but mine also for not checking the work they did.The left hand tyre was unbalanced.Getting these things fixed cured most of the vibration. The noise over bumps appears to be the top of the strur.Check your trans fluid, if it's not right it can cause vibration, even stationary if you keep it in drive. 0 blackvelvet
A change of fluid cured the noisy reverse gear and slight vibration through the column on my car. It's an easy job. Just get the car high enough, safely, and have a good size bowl ready. A washing up bowl from Wilco will do, and use ATF +4..... not cheap but worth it.I also noticed in the Chilton manual, they recommend silicone sealer for the sump gasket. 0 bignev
Yes and leave all corner bolts in the sump till you break the seal or it will piss all over when it gushes out suddenly!! Well mine did!!!!! Yep I agree, the twice I've done it (no surprise oiling the 2nd time though) I used normal automotive RTV silicone.
