0 moxington
Surely someone would know an answer to this problem
0 bignev
You would have thought so, but as you can see the newer GV's section isn't quite as "popular" :- ) as the older ones! More reliable? Or simply less of them?
0 moxington
Waste of time then Eh? bignev
0 bignev
Not necessarily, but seems like the owners of the 2008 on don't have as much of a need to be fixing them, or are less willing / able, or can afford not to, do it themselves, so aren't very active on here. 0 Orangecrumble
I have the same problem (except for the useless spares) I found one that looked like it would fit on eBay. item number 273140575001. I thought I was going to be the only bidder. Looks like demand outstrips supply at the moment.

0 SpAwNtoHell
I have a Grand voyager RT 2.8 CRD 58 plate with the cover, i can take pictures and maybe look up if any part number on it... if anyone still interested... i find it a bad design tho... i rather not have it on the engine.... 0 Orangecrumble
Hi. You say you would rather not have it. Does it serve any purpose other than cosmetic? I was hoping it would be quieter
0 bignev
My diesel Galaxy is WAY quieter with the cover on!!
0 SpAwNtoHell
On the GV rt is not helping with the sound... like making the engine sound quieter... Today i was driving it and i thought is in there only to get home and find that was actually in the garage. over the weekend i will try a db meter test from behind the steering wheel.... i doubt will be 1-2 db quieter... but it looks nicer when bonnet is up and looks like was meant to protect wires etc. I took my one off as the rubbers are aged and i am looking for a solution as i want to avoid the rubbers to perish and rub against something. 0 bignev
I was meaning with the bonnet up, a significant perceived difference. I couldn't vouch for the level from the drivers seat, but it will be interesting, defo. So then spawntohell, if you'd rather not have it on, and orangecrumble wants one, is there a deal forming??????????
0 Orangecrumble
Thanks for the consideration but since moxington started the thread that would be the deal. Personally I think there must be a way to get a 4th generation to fit. I'm a serial tnkerer and also thinking about making something from scratch. 0 SpAwNtoHell
As i steated before my one is on the shelf, i choosed not to have it on. No i am not disposing of it or giving it away. In the interest of everyone around here would be still nice to know where to get one, what is matching etc...

0 power
There is a repair kit on ebay for this if you have the old one.If you dont, visit the junk yard or ebay and order one for the European version with WM motori diesel engine. The US versions wont fit. SpAwNtoHell

0 SpAwNtoHell
Engine cover/noise cover for 2007-2009 Chrysler Grand Voyager RT 5 mounting (supporting points) 2.8 CRD engine code ENS (VM64C) has the part number 04593809AB http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s658/SpAwNtoHell/20180708_213554_zps14ddrphk.jpg http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s658/SpAwNtoHell/20180708_213646_zpsy7sumkau.jpg http://i1310.photobucket.com/albums/s658/SpAwNtoHell/20180708_213638_zps2yg0ngij.jpg And to add to this, i need to clarify, my one is noisy as it seems is missing some rubber grommets that suppose to go in those mounting points on to the engine studs... Question
moxington
Bought a Nov 2008 Grand Voyager but with Engine cover missing
Obtained a 2009 S/H Engine cover - too big does not fit
Obtained a 2006 S/H Engine cover - too big does not fit - both identical
Both are marked '2.8' both only have 3 mounting points - mine has 5
Any ideas where I am going wrong?
Thanks
