vanholy
Hi, is it possible to turn on the Auxiliary Heater on when the main engine is off, like in a truck? If not, is it possible to hack the system to realize a heater that works when the engine is off? Tnx
0 QinteQ
is it possible to turn on the Auxiliary Heater on when the main engine is off, like in a truck? - no- because its a [water] heater for the engine not a cabin [air] heaterIf not, is it possible to hack the system to realize a heater that works when the engine is off? - its unlikely, the switch on / off codes and parameters are set by the vehicle via the BCM software- and because its a [water] heater for the engine not a cabin [air] heater, there would be little benefit You can buy mains electric blankets for the battery, and even 'block heaters' [like a mains hair drier] for the whole engine block. The Auxiliary Heater on this vehicle is an automotive version of a Webasto Thermo Top what you appear to want is a Webasto Air Top. Alternatively Erberpatcher AirTronic's are fitted to millions of buses, ambulances, gas board etc vans in the UK.
0 Mackemlad2
Hi there, I've recently bought my second grand voyager, the heater in my first one was terrible, but in my second one which is a 2001 crd the last owner had problems with the cab heater and also the cold weather starting, so he had a webasto heater fitted which makes the cab heater as warm as toast and on freezing morning a switch can be flicked and you can go and get your breakfast and when you come out your engine is up to running temp and starts first flick of the key also the cab heater blows hot soon as she starts, just remember to flick the switch back off,
