Theres A 240Volt Ac Radio Plug Under Front Seat Why

there these two plugs under the front passenger seat the mains radio type plug has 240volts ac to it when key on

the other unknown  what its for ?

update 

found out the plug is a playstation 2 where the other end goes unknown as its not the dvd screen

 

as for the 240volt dont know where the inverter is but it can stay never know it mite come in handy

 sorry for late reply only just saw this post,  I have same plugs as you, bit of detective work found 300w inverter inside near side rear wheel box and also an analogue tv tuner , 2 sets of phono plugs , 1 for tv and 1 for playstation,

I removed tv tuner but will replace with digital one when funds allow. I use the other set to run a sony dvd player under passenger seat. I have a switch by handbrake to switch inverter on and off, and switch in glove box to enable hard wired FM modulater for dvd sound. hope this helps if not too late.

thanks for reply i put a media player under the front seat thats how i found the plugs 

so can play usb sticks and use internet when near a free wifi spot

see your in wiltshire as well there quite a few here in melksham mainly black like mine and a few silver
