ben
Don't need a bobble hat here mate, it's aircon weather
Udtrev
Well didn't have the bobble hat, but had a pole and the was wearing the boots today, went hoofing it with MEP from our sister Fiat Forum. I think his legs might just be regretting asking for practice at hill walking before he does a charity walk on Hadrian's Wall
ben
I've always wondered, do those poles really help much? What are they actually for - to steady your balance or more to take weight off your feet?

Here's where I needed a pole, you might know the person I walked with - MEP http://blog.wanderlustonline.com/2014/04/19/19042014-a-stroll-along-some-of-the-7-sisters-with-jon/
ben
Ah the Seven Sisters - back when I was younger, like, 10 or 11 I guess - I walked with my Dad across the South Downs, ending at the Seven Sisters. Of course, then I had lots of youthful energy, and managed to run down (and then back up) each of them - I highly doubt I could manage that again now! Udtrev
Well after doing them I was fully qualified to make naughty phone calls - I had the heavy breathing down to a tee I have to steel myself for doing the Birling Gap to Exceat Bridge slog and back again - the legs are now on strike !
