Penguin2007 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Share Posted September 14, 2014 Hi As of 1:10:2014 the DVLA will no longer be issuing the circular paper disc. If you have a car with a current tax disc that is valid, say up to end of May 2015, do you still have to display the disc? The Police will know that your car is insured via ANPR, they are not bothered in France - even at a road side random check, they just look at insurance / driver licence etc... Any ideas? You can see a more thorough explanation here - http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/abolition-of-the-vehicle-tax-disc If you have any remaining months left on your current paper tax disc from 1 October 2014, you can either remove the tax disc from your vehicle or display the disc until it expires.
