2002. V6 petrol....new owner questions. I hope these aren't stupid questions.
I've had the car a week or so. I have a few issues. Wonder if anyone can help.
The engine runs fine. But 2 issues. It seams to run quite hot. The temp gauge settles at just below the half way point (not too bad?) but the engine "seems" hot. Hope that makes sense. I've driven 160 miles in one hit, so can't be too horrendous.
Also at low revs there is a definite noise. Best described as a rumble.
Should the back door actually open, from the key fob button? Mine doesn't. Or should it just unlock? I need to use the key to open it. Also, when opening, the first few inches there is a grounching noise. That disappears once it's come up a foot or so. The door then opens and closes fine.
The central locking appears erratic. Is there a secret to it, the range doesn't seem great, does it need a new battery (in the fob)? Or am I doing something wrong?
I hope these questions aren't too dumb. Thanks for any input, in advance.
