Rattle

Hi, This is a longshot but I've a developing rattle from the area around the passenger side around the floor behind the middle row seat towards the door. I've checked all the obvious stuff and getting nowhere. It's hard to pinpoint when you're driving the car. I don't think it's the door but at this rate I'll be taking the door off and driving to rule it out.

Has anybody has anything similar and resolved it ?

Alloy heat shield [baffle plate] above exhaust protecting the underside floor from heat, I snipped mine out 5 years ago, no negative effects. Steel bolts go through alloy shield into steel capture nut usual chemical corrosion.

Bit more than the heat shield !

 

The rear shock top bolt broke. Is this bolt through the chassis, or is it a stud ?

When I did mine they were bolts, long ones! Top and bottom.
