0 Newdelta
I nearly purchased a body kit of ebay as it was really cheap, but it would of added £100 to my insurance so did not bother.
0 Nello
Yes I saw that for sale - Each to their own but I think the Delta looks fine as is without any bodywork add-on's.............. I would not have minded the Limited 18" wheels. In fact I would have had a Limited but for the price I got my SR for.........
0 Newdelta
From what I saw the body kit makes it more like the momo design special editions ones which came out in 2013.It was more a case of it being a bargain to be honest, never had a kit on a car before. Never will after seeing the insurance increase.
0 Nello
Happy to be corrected but I'm pretty sure the Momo Design Deltas' don't have any additional body-work add-ons'. They appear differently though as they have different areas' of paintwork. The front and rear valances are colour-coded rather than black as well as the rear tailgate around the number plate being sprayed black. This gives the overall appearence of different panels. They've also obviously got different Alloys and seats. Very nice cars - again I would have had one but the price premium. 0 Newdelta
You right, I struggled to find any bodykited ones so presumed it was almost identical to the momo s-series. Just found a kitted one.http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/chrysler/delta/delta-diesel-hatchback-1-6-m-jet-sr-5dr/371142 Not a good look, looks like my insurance company saved me some regret. 0 Nello
Yes Delta - they really don't need the kit. Just for the record forgot to mention the Momo's also have colour-coded Sills.............and different seats Edited August 14, 2014 by Nello
0 Nello
Nello is very chuffed - the one good thing about the Delta now being unavailable in the UK is the dealers are trying to dispose of all their options............. Just found some factory Illuminated sills for £30 They were three-figure crazy money as a new option from your local friendly dealer.... I'll post photos once fitted
0 MikeyRules
Nello, which dealers were selling off parts? I've tried to Google and it's not thrown up much! I've ended up sourcing stuff off Italian eBay!
0 Rossocorsa
I thought much the same the only thing I got cheap was a spare set of floor mats that were too cheap to pass by.
0 MikeyRules
Yeah I've just got a set of genuine delta mats for £20 including postage off fleabay... They've not arrived yet, so will have to see what the quality is like! I'm not expecting much lol
0 Rossocorsa
They are fine especially for 20 quid, haven't fitted them yet I just thought a spare set would be handy if I keep the car a while Edited December 7, 2014 by Rossocorsa
0 MikeyRules
Have you spotted any other bargain must have's? I quite fancy a Boot tray to keep the carpet clean and dry... I've only found ones in Germany so far and they seem to be about £40 plus postage!
0 Rossocorsa
No not really, tbh it's just my day to day car I hardly ever wash it let alone pamper it. A few bits n bobs might be nice if cheap but I think nello must have spent the time to surf eBay and snap them all up!
0 Penguin2007
Swopping from my 58 Brava to my 12 Delta has increased my insurance price bt about 120 squid. Thinks that it a bit of a rip off. Am going to go through the bucket shops, but they rarely return any significant advantage over my present insureer. I am an Institute of Advanced motorist, and Cornhill is their poison. I only wish that thane would come out with a similar product that costs the same... extra for continential - OK, but increase after certain 1000's of milesbut for others .. ugh Certain upgrades do deserve a policy upgrade - e.g. tow hitch, but surely a certain number of days can be negotiated for the price. ie tow to site / then un-encumbered - tow home = 2 days in UK ( X days in Europe). Almost worth not ....< censored in writing> ..... Penguin Can we go back to the old worlds. Quills, Ink and Lloyds direct? Chris
0 MikeyRules
Haha I had to read your post twice Chris... I'm still not 100% sure I follow you completely! Insurance has always been money for old rope regardless of the hardship stories they'll have you believe about bogus claims etc... Some of the more specialist companies like Adrian Flux can be worth a try... The key is to always shop around each year and not just simply renew! Also not all the comparison sites list the best deals either.
0 Penguin2007
Hi Mikey Adrian Flux have their reputation to go with them ... google ... They wanted nearly twice the premium compared to my AIM insurance!!! :-) Chris
0 MikeyRules
It all ebbs and flows fella...some years they're cheaper...some not! Hence me saying it always pays to shop around each and every year. I've seen the feedback before... You'll always get horror stories when it comes to people not happy with claim outcomes etc. I've had track day insurance and modified car insurance with them on and off for nearly 20 years, and they have sponsored my car club including buying us a marquee and 5000 flyers. They have been good to me when I've had a claim in the past and have generally always tried to beat any premium at renewal time to be fair. Although having said all that Direct Line were the cheapest for me this time around.

I did mention some time ago on one of the threads that that theres a slight variation in some sections of the dash between LHD and RHD. I think it was when we were going on about the gear-knob. Viewed

where did you get the boot net ? I was thinking of getting one to stop my bottles of champagne rolling about in the boot ...
Rossocorsa
Yeah well it will take an hour or so I suppose but as they really aren't that essential they are lots on my priority list, next job to run the VX engine again for longer and try to get it vaguely set
