Nollider
HiI'm on my second G Voyager 2.5 crd now. This one has very bad starting issues.I replaced to glow plugs, (made no difference )Whilst changing these I noticed a voltage drop between battery Voltage and heater plug input.I also noted some other low voltage readings. The battery is new as is the Starter motor. One squirt of magic spray and its bang and run on first turns of the engine. Bump down a long hill in the mornings she will start if your rolling fast enough. But stall at lights even when warm or hot and she will not start turning on the key. Then some times for a few days at a time she will start on the button ? 0 bignev
Hi There!I'm sure the diesel guys will chip in shortly, but I'd guess it's the lack of fuel pressure problem that quite a few have had. Caused by a non return valve not doing its job, so fuel pressure isn't there. But that wouldn't usually add up for a hot start! And has it got a clean fuel filter, every little helps! 0 mikebh8
Hi, not 100% sure but could it be the fuel pressure sensor? Not necessarily bad sensor but bad wiring or connection to it. Hope it helps
0 Nollider
Many thanks for the replies guys.Oddly enough I just purchased the fuel pressure sensor and the Pressure Regulator button.Unfortunately I cannot seem to locate the pressure regulator position to change it over ?Any suggestions ?Again many thanks for the suggestions.Nollider
0 mikebh8
What do you mean by "pressure regulator button", if is the pressure regulator valve is attached to the high pressure fuel pump, if you mean the pressure release valve ( which could be interpreted as a button) is attached to fuel pressure rail on the left as you looking at the engine. Replace one at the time, as replacing both and hopefully fixing the problem you wouldn't know which one was it. Hope it helps.

Question
Nollider
Hi
I'm on my second G Voyager 2.5 crd now.
This one has very bad starting issues.
I replaced to glow plugs, (made no difference )
Whilst changing these I noticed a voltage drop between battery Voltage and heater plug input.
I also noted some other low voltage readings.
( Hot or Cold )
Any suggestions ?
Many thanks in advance Bryan
