I have a Chrysler 300C CRD Touring 2006.

I have had the above mentioned lights on my dash for over a year and now I need to sort it.

I have changed the wheel speed sensors on all four wheels, it went away for a while, then cane back. It is very intermittent for the lights.

I am changing the CV O rings on Monday, if this doesn't work I would have to change the ABS module,, which is a last resort, as it's San intermittent problem and if it had gone it would be on all the time.

Talking to a friend he stated that some cars when the hand break is none existent and the rear brakes are ready for changing this light can cone on.

Had any body else had this problem?.

If so please help as its doing my but in and I do believe it is something simple.

Hi, don't know much about your model but for the breaks to switch the dash light, would have to have a wire connected to a "sensor" fitted in the break pads, at least I had this on an alfa romeo 164.

Never seen them since, as now the breaks weariness is controlled by the level of the break liquid, or an audible fault between a metal plate and the disc, which by the way the fluid is it on level? as the breaks are worn the piston pushes more and drains more fluid from the tank.

In your case, not an expert, if the sensor was replaced, it could be the o ring on the shaft...

Could you get any fault codes from the dash? Press the odometer until the mileage is displayed, turn off the ignition, hold the odometer button pushed, turn the ignition and within 5 sec the test should start, it will stop when the test is done.

Record the dash on your phone, if you have more than one code coming up they might disappear quickly without giving you the chance to write them down.

Hope it helps.

Good news.

Whilst my car was in the garage and the hand brake set up was being done

New hand brake cables, discs, pads and fixing kit.

I asked me mechanic to check a couple of things whilst he had it all in bits and he discovered that the main nut that was holding the rear drive shaft on, had come lose (wow). So whilst it was moving around the sensor was not in line with the CV ring and was not reading it, and was always giving am intermittent problem.

So all solved and no orange lights on the dash, cheap and cheerful.

Thanks for the advice.
