mikebh8
Hi, it happen to me on the motorway. It was the thermostat. What engine do you have on? Mine is 2.5 crd manual.I bought a second hand engine (330 including delivery) and did the work myself. If you do it at a garage it will cost you, unless you find an engine that comes fitted by the seller and in some cases they give you 30-90 days warranty on it.Mind that, while you fit it you have to do cam belt, water pump, thermostat, clean the turbo, oil and filters, ??? clutch depending how is the old one??? Makes sure the sensors are checked, and nevertheless give a good flash to the "new" engine to clear all the passages for oil and water. Good luck with it.
