Dido
There is now a new Selenia range of oilshttp://www.selenia.com/en/selenia-nuova-gamma.asp Which one should I go for the Multi air petrol 1.4 many are 5w40, I am afraid that the multi air is a pit pick and would incur some damage if wrong flavour is used. If I do less than 5k a year, is it safe to change oil and filter every 24 month.
0 Nello
I think I'm right in saying its not a new range - just repackaged as Petronas bought Selenia Oils............ The recommended MA Oil is Selenia WR PE. Its listed on page 275 of your handbook See my other thread about the MultiAir Unit - I had to have mine replaced. There is a known issue with Oil seals on the earlier cars - be it Chrysler/Lancia, Fiat or Alfa. The latest MA engine (badged as MultiAir 2 units) had upgraded seal liners. I had the latest version fitted to my car. You are right in saying the MA unit is sensitive to oil however I change my oil every 12 month regardless of mileage and mine still went. My car is a 2011 Edited August 27, 2017 by Nello
