Sounds like the radiator itself is full of crud/partially blocked.
Had it a couple of times with other vehicles, rock hard radiator top hose and the gauge getting higher on hills or, in my case, whilst towing.
Final check I done to prove in mines was to use a piece of wood to stop the fan from turning, and feel the radiator. It'll probably be cold at the bottom, hotter at the top.

Reading it again, you've already replaced the radiator?

Hi I had this problem and found that the only cure was new rad and no more heating problems I tried everything even bleeding which can be found drivers side corner but had a lot of trouble turning it. I found my 2.8card would over heat while towing up hills since putting new rad in no problem. Hope this helps and by the way best place to get one is on eBay
