Valet Key

Hi All!

I have recently bought a second hand 2008 Grand Voyager.

I have made a copy of the valet key for safe keeping in case my fob battery dies or I lose it, so wanted to know whether the valet key can:

1) Be used to open the driver's door and if so, would it set off the alarm?
2) Be used to start the engine or would I need to also have a copy of the fob?

At the risk of sounding "smart" I suppose you could always try it...........

The metal cutout wouldnt start the car, cause it doesbt fit. Opening it will turn on the alarm, which will stop once you put your keu fob in the socket en turn to on. 20 dollars on ebay will give you replacemebt key, wgich you can simply program yourself in 2 mins
