2006 Gv 2.8 Crd Low Starting Issues

Question

Hi all, apologies if this has been covered before.

I've searched but have had no luck.

I have recently bought a 06 GV 2.8 CRD, I absolutely love it, nothing has this much room or comfort without buying a Vito or T5 combo.

But it's started being difficult to start.

At first I thought it was an immobiliser issue because when starting it will cough and fires on one or two cylinders then continues cranking without starting.

I tried unlocking again to make sure it wasn't immobilised then if I continue to crank eventually it will start then runs with no problems, I drove at varying speeds for 40 miles at the weekend without fault, up until I had to start it 3 hours later to come home. So immobilized is ruled out.

The cars sales I brought it from said it had a starting issue and they replaced the whole fuel filter and housing (this is on the front of the engine) And it has been good up to now (a month later). So this is ruled out also.

Having looked through this forum I've done the 'key

dance' and I've got P1130 which is pointing to the fuel rail sensor?

Has anyone else had this issue, advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info, I've done a leak off check at idle and it does look like the pressure relief valve is duff. I've struggled to get the right one and can't find a Bosch dealer with this part?

I've been on eBay and the numbers off the head of my valve don't match theirs.

The number I have are

13 07 15 001

1017 515

Where did you get yours from, I might be missing a trick here.

Thanks again.

Stefan.

Sorry for the delayed reply, I got one of those Bosch Fuel pressure relief valves fitted from eBay and it works perfectly, definitely worth a punt as apposed to fitting a Chrysler recommended complete fuel rail that I've read on here is approx £1500.

Much appreciated feedback.

Thanks again.
