Hand Brake Problems

Hi I have a 2003 Chrysler voyager 2.5 crd, and the handbrake keeps letting go i.e. You pull it up and it slips and the brakes let go. Some times if you pull it very slowly it grips and the brakes stay on I've had some one look at it and all the brakes are working fine, he oiled the ratchet leaver and that helped for a week, then the handbrake was back to doing the same again

Some voyagers of this age were a recall for this issue

Had mine done free at the local Arnold Clarke a few weeks ago

 

Check if your car is a recall by entering the VIN in to the Mopar recalls website.
