Strong Exhaust Smell In The Cabin

Hi. I have noticed (well my eyes started streaming, that was the clue...) that when I start the car and also when it is idling in traffic or whatever that there is a very strong smell of diesel fumes inside the car. I have had the aux heater exhaust pipe replaced and thought that would cure this issue but unfortunately not.

I am pretty certain that the exhaust isn't blowing / leaking, but for the life of me I have no idea where to look.

Can anyone offer any advice please?

Best place to try as it has been found before to cause your problem is the EGR pipework between EGR and inlet manifold. It is known to split.

Another possibility is a leaking injector. Take the cover off the engine and see if there's a load of black gunk around any of them. Also see if there's any dampness around the injectors, as a leaking return pipe might cause it too.
