Clashing Wipers

Does anyone else have the problem of the front wipers hitting each other & becoming entangled?

Happened to me a few times now & it invariably results in me needing at least one new wiper blade.

I've now changed the passenger side from a 26" to a 24" to see if that aliviates the problem.

 

Just curious as to whether its just me or a more common fault.

 Are they both far enough down/up when switched off?
Might be worth taking the arms off and moving the lower one down a notch on the spleen, and/or the top one up a notch.

I use 28" with no problems, I used a puller to re-set the turrets.

I had 28" on all 3 of mine for years till I got some Bosch ones, then they hit each other, because they were 1/2" longer, been a pain in the back side ever since with any make.

 

Even after moving round on the splines.

 

So I also have one 26" wiper now.

Often times the apparent 1/4" change is the type of replacement wiper plastic clip. Here there are two distinctly different metal J end lengths, easy to make that mistake with the universally inaccurate "enter you REG number" dBASE system's.

Yep, they measured longer, with a tape, and when offered new to old.
