Broken Mcgard Wheel Socket

Have had a problem the metal plates, inboard of the front brake discs. One of them rusted away around the 3 bolts holding it onto the axle hub and it was replaced by my local garage. Now the 2nd one has done the same but today, when I went to remove the front wheel to see if I could secure the plate until I have to go to the garage, the McGard wheel nut tool sheared off the fancy patterned part that sits in the groove! It was a lot bit tighter than the usual wheel nuts. So now, I can't remove any of my wheels and I will have to drive around with this loose plate knocking on my front brake disc. I hope the Chrysler garage mechanics will be able to remove the wheel Edited November 19, 2016 by gr2bfc

Gordy, the garage were able to remove the wheels ok and have put normal wheel nuts in place. Have had all the wheels shot blasted and resprayed plus have had 4 new tyres fitted too. Be a shame to sell the car now!!
