Centre Rear Seat Belt Buckle

Hey all

 

I own a 2006 4th Gen Grand Voyager and the other day I had my first 7 person car load! Obviously this meant that someone was in that back seat, in the middle with the seat belt that clips into two buckles.

 

Thing is, now I can't unbuckle or release the middle section at all (not the buckle like the others, the one that sits to the left of the person in the middle. With it locked, I can't get the stow and go seats down at all, which I need!

 

Any ideas? There doesn't seem to be a button on it to push to release so I am stumped!

Haven't looked but does it have a small red square on the side of the buckle?

 

If it does just use you ignition key (or simmilay) to push the red square in, this will release the belt so you can clip it back into the roof lining.

Its more of a slot than a square, but yes, just press it with a key. Also the seats should fold away even with the belt down. Does on mine at least but of course it does slightly obstruct the luggage well.

Hi guys - it's easy when you know!

 

Use the metal tab of the other buckle to press into the slot on the retained one (I would need my glasses and a torch to see it now) - out it comes!

Knew it was something like that, I think it's a little red square in my other car that's just big enough for the ignition key.

I actually figured it out thanks! It was indeed the main buckle slotting into the smaller one!
