Amigaman
Hi everyone I have just bought myself a Sebring Convertible 2,0 Diesel and I knew I needed a new battery - however there seems to be such confusion over what type of battery I need. The AA man says it needs to be a "Gel" battery - A Chrysler Parts guy says it needs to be a "Spiral Wound" and he also asked if my car had "Stop and Start" technology - Frankly I have no idea - please help
Penguin2007
Hi Amigoman You pays the cash you gets the product..... Gel batteries have their uses .... £+Sealed cells - mid rangeSpiral ones are £+ See: .... http://www.multicell.co.uk/cyclon-batteries.html(Other suppliers are available). I had to replace my (2 year old from new) low maintenance battery with a new one when the service prior to the MoT, came up as it was failing.I replaced with similar, over rated LM cell, from a decent supplier. I suspect that they are all made by the same unit shifters in the middle east. Would recommend that you go over in the Ah rating - as diesels are a little heavier on the demand in start up process. Technology changes all the time, but make sure that you check with the manual for ratings etc. Hope this helps Penguin
