Transmission Problem

hello I'm hoping that someone can help I have an issue with the gearbox on my 300c CRD it will not come out of park. I have tried disconnecting the battery to reset it but that hasn't worked. everything else works as it should apart from it will not come out of park.

 

Can anyone please advise me on how to fix then problem?

Silly question time - can you confirm that your brake lights are working ?

Most autoboxes need to detect that the brake is depressed before allowing the change from Park, so I would check that the car can detect that the brake pedal has been pressed as a first line of attack.
