Diesel Starting Issues - Have Your Injectors Checked

Question

Dear all Diesel owners,

At some point your injectors will need replacing soon. Symptoms are:

Taking a long time to crank and then not starting

Misfire after starting for a short while

Randomly stalling orvengine cutting out.

The other parts of the fuel system such as lines, pumps, and anything else are pretty solid and should last the lifetime.

If you want to buy one, pay the premium of finding one which have all these parts replaced as the car will have at least another 60k trouble free. They are the best 7 seaters. Nothing comes close to ride and seat comfort for drivers and passengers.

Once you have injectors checked and replaced, then use a diesel cleaner or premium diesel.

I have had the trouble of having new injectors done and the results are startling. Magnificent mpg 33 and 40 mpg average.......

Before you do injectors. Pull electrical plugs from fuel filter housing. Pump primer to make sure it's hard. Inspect socket for wetness or leak . If leak found filter housing is letting air in and causing loss of prime. Part numbers are 68043086AB wiring kit and 68043089AA filter housing. There is a tsb in the USA concerning this problem up to 07 model years.
