I dont get it anymore.also have yiu put a cleaner through it. I use bg244.(diesel cleaner) or BG44K (petrol cleaner) and it works
0 matgriff
If the thermostat's jammed open it will over fuel, as it thinks the engine is cold. I had the same problem, thermostat fixed it :-)

0 Dazandtrace
Dont think it related. Justvtry putting a good fuel cleaner through
0 Dazandtrace
What you might find it could be is that the engine isnt running hot enough so over time it's going to build up alot of crap from unburnt fuel. Get your stat done whether you have an original or the cheaper option in the hose. Once its running at its temperature you will find a lot of difference. I put bg244 diesel treatment in mine and now its ace. No black smoke or anything cold. Just condensation from exhausted on cold mornings which is normal. 0 Junglehead
Hi all I've noticed that I've got a bit of a judder in reverse when going up hill slowly. Also I fill that I have to put the car in neutral when stopped as it seem to rock a bit and not very smooth. Any ideas do you think that a gearbox oil change & filter would help? 0 Semmysonic
Is it petrol or diesel?
0 Junglehead
It's a diesel.
0 Semmysonic
Oh ok, only asking because mine was doing similar but turned out to be a misfire, but felt like the gearbox. Not much help as yours is diesel.I've have heard issues with the torque converter. Best to change oil and filter first though :-)

0 Andrips
I do have some vibration when I am stopped and it's in D and now even in Neutral mode. I found couple threads about that and could be the front engine mount or alternator pulley. Will change the engine mount over the weekend and if problem will stay then probably all alternator belt kit with pulleys. 0 Dazandtrace
Mine in D at a stand still isnt to bad but what does my head in is the vibration from the exhaust iv had new rubbers fitted. And still does it. But not in neutral
0 Andrips
I also noticed yesterday (while I was checking out the auxiliary heater) that the exhaust vibrates a lot, was thinking about rubber need change, but if you are saying that it still does it, I will not change. Then the alternator pulley to change. I can't find the threads anymore, but I think they'll where on this forum.
0 Dazandtrace
Im wondering if i have an engine mount on the way out. Will wait for it to develop more before I worry about it

The aluminium reacts with the steel bolt, the holes enlarge till they are so big the shield sits directly on top of the exhaust and vibrates like hell. 0 Andrips
I checked the exhaust pipe under the driver seat, haven't checked at the rear, maybe vibration not so bad there. Edited December 12, 2015 by Andrips
