homer72 Posted November 16, 2015 Report Share Posted November 16, 2015 Hi i have a 2004 voyager with a fault,the abs light does not light up,been in at at dealers and they tell me a new loom is 4,500 pounds for it,only 96,000 miles lovely 2.5 crd stow n go with a reg of X5 VOY is there any way of getting this sorted or is it better to break the car for parts any advice yous have would be grateful. Penguin2007 Posted November 17, 2015 Report Share Posted November 17, 2015 Lots of simple bits to do. you state a fault,the abs light does not light up Is this on ignition start up? does the ABS light uo and then go out? If so correct.... Alt .... Check loom installation - voltmeter .... ABS sensor - swop left to right? work? Wires from ABS sensor take a lot of stick - close inspection ..... ABS rim on back of disc could be damaged. A diagnostic plug in at a dealer with his magic box should through up menu items. Well worth the few quid it costs.... Hope you get it sorted. Remember as it is a warning light it will generate an MOT failure these days :-( Always feel a car is happier with its own parts - worth seeing a back street man rather than that of a main service agent...
