Hi all, Been having an issue with my temp gage fluctuating for a couple of months now, usually only at high speeds on motorways etc. Typically happens when eccelerating. Heater blower works fine cold and hot dependant on what I want, no warm air coming into cabin. No engine noise or anything else noticeable so has made me think thermostat. It was liveable for a while but due to this heat I use the air con but it seems to go off on the motorway along with the temp fluctuating... Anyway, looking on ebay I type in my car model and it gives me the items but then when I click on the thermostat I want it'll say won't fit fit model... anyone know the right one for me to get? I've got a manual 1.6 diesel 2011 Many thanks

Ladies and Gents, I have a 2003 2.5 CRD with about 141k miles on the clock and I too have been losing coolant. Last year I realised that my thermostat was stuck open and the engine was taking ages to warm up. I then fitted an extra (working) thermostat to the top hose, and life was good... A month ago I was driving on a motorway and suddenly the temperature gauge went off the scale. I pulled in at a garage and found that the coolant level was very low. I topped it up and managed to limp home. I then removed the top hose thermostat and replaced it with a new one. I tested the old one and it did seem to stick. I hoped that the new thermostat would do the trick but I found that I am now having to add about a litre of coolant after every trip :-( After a long run I found that there were signs that the coolant had leaked in the area under the rear right side of the engine. There was also a pretty even film of coolant on the back of the car. I think that the leak is external and that it gets sucked up onto the back of the car when I'm moving fast. The engine is running smoothly and there is no sign of water in the oil. The exhaust is not smokey either. Do you have any clue as to what is leaking - is it a hose? Has anyone had this problem before? As always, very grateful for any advice that you have. Cheers, Argee

Hi there, I'm replacing the head gasket and other worn parts on my Chrysler Voyager 2.0L 16V 98KW gasoline, year 1996 , VIN: 1C4GYN2C7VU106456 . I'm having troubles finding the right P/N of the two main water hoses connected to the radiator. The local dealer unexpectedly has wrong drawings for that car. I attach a picture of it, hoping that someone may have this piece of info. The radiator is non-original part, AVA Deutschland, CR2029. My dream would be to get somewhere a full manual with every single P/N of this car... including these two hoses! I'd appreciate any help on this :-) Any clue? Thanks a lot, Best regards Giulio

2.5 Crd Thermostat - Sealed Unit Or Not?
Argee posted a question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi everyone! I'm certain that I need to replace the thermostat on my 2003 2.5 CRD Grand Voyager, My workshop manual states that I need to replace the sealed unit (so that's what I'm expecting to do..) I went to Andrew Page motor factors and they pulled up 2 options for a replacement. One was a sealed unit thermostat for around £100 but the other was a 'naked' thermostat for about £12!! Have they made a mistake, or is there an option for me to save £88? As ever, all advice gratefully received :-)
