  2. Me personally, ive never had any major issues 2003 2.5 CRD LX Grand Voyager, 120k currently. But to put my piece in : - Rear tyres seem to get eaten. - Ive only noticed slightly increased wear on the fronts, due it being FW drive and having to deal with steering, plus that lump of an engine. Handbrake not holding - if maintained and setup correctly its not an issue. Rot. Rot everywhere. Mostly son the sills and chassis mounts - had to repair a small patch on the rear offside sill, wasn't a massive job. The other issues you highlight, i haven't personally had any issues with. Other issues i see aa common-ish: Oil leaks, normally sump or crank oil seal related ( both repairable by a competent home mechanic)Thermostats failing ( plenty of solutions on this forum. There's even 'how to' videos)Acceleration issues ( again, forum has narrowed down the issues and solutions) Not to sure on wheels, believe there an odd size. But why would you need to change them, just preference?
  3. Hi, The 'Key Dance' is a procedure which highlights any faults the car has ( errors are shown normally where the mileage is displayed) Basically turn the key 3 times to on - off on, off on, off on. Does the EML come on at all???
  4. Photos no longer work on original post, so added new ones.
  5. For sale is Chrysler V & GV HVAC Controls MK3 96-00 Brand New Please Confirm this part fits your vehicle before purchase Open to offers
  6. Hi, Have you checked for any fault codes as of yet? We've had roughly the same issue on the forum for the gen4 2.5 TDs. Fixing the issue depends on what code you get and some further diagnosis.
  7. What evidence have they provided to say that the relay selector box is at fault? Just curious.
  8. If interested here's the link regarding fitting the second in-line thermostat as rob mentioned above. http://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/fitting-second-thermostat-20480/ Also someones done a vid now - http://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/fitting-second-thermostat-guide-26641/
  9. I believe on this model, the voltage regulator is onboard to the PCM unit...which i hope isnt the issue, as it requires a new PCM unit. The alternator does all the rectifying within itself on this model and so there isn't an external rectifier so to speak. Have all the ground cables been checked? the battery temp sensor also plays a part in regulating charging rate of the battery.
  10. So there isn't any error codes present on your dash, when you've done the key dance? ( just to confirm) Also did the garage say how they diagnosed the alternator being at fault? I know its a bit of a long shot, but are you sure the alternator you've acquired is in good working order?
  11. Hi David, Couple questions : - 1. What model do you have? 2. Do you have any fault codes on your dash ( using the key dance trick) ? There are quite a few components which relate to your charging system potentially. Also did the garage state how they diagnosed the alternator being at fault?
  12. Does it happen at any speed when trying to accelerate heavily, or at higher engine speeds?
  13. As above, same experience pretty much. Also if it helps, my thread for roughly the same issue - http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/1067-hard-acceleration-causing-eml-to-come-on/
  14. Its not very clear admittedly, but it is on top of the engine/manifold. Also im referencing a 2003 2.5crd GV engine. I have inserted a photo with the w/shop manual image to allow cross reference.
  15. Above is the location of the sensor in question. it will be held in place with a cap head bolt. Any sort of contact cleaner will do the job, but i recommend spraying onto your choice of cloth/rag and not directly ( unless its an electrical contact cleaner) Also if you need: Link to a picture of the sensor http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-706862199-sensor-presso-map-bosch-0281002845-ducato-23-apos-09-iveco-_JM
  16. Have a look at your boost pressure sensor and to see if there's a build up on the sensor probe - if so, it could just require a good clean. If that fails, then proceed from there accordingly.
  17. Hi Mike, On a 2003 2.5crd the Fuel Filter/ water separator is located underneath the rear of the car next to the fuel tank and rear axle. Ive added some info on its removal and an exploded image. Hope this helps in some way.
  18. Hi, error codes are as follows :- P0203 - Injector #3 Control circuit - P0204 - Injector #4 Control circuit - As title suggests injector related issue ( same for previous code) P0340 - No Cam signal at the PCM ( power control module) - Possibly your cam position sensor or grounding issue. P0514 - Battery Temp Sensor signal voltage too high or low - Not to sure on this one, sounds like the sensor is built into the PCM. But how old is the battery and have you taken any readings from it? just as a precaution. P1130 - Fuel Rail Leakage detected, pressure too high, pressure too low or solenoid open - check around the general area for leaking fuel as an obvious starting point id say. Also this code and your injector faults could be related, due to being on the fuel delivery side of things. There are some more things i could highlight in regards to those fault codes, but i don't want to assume with my limited knowledge. Im no mechanic or Chrysler expert. Hope something helps you out though.
  19. Definitely Gordy. Check all relative hoses/pipes are unblocked and not leaking. Also have you checked your on board diagnostic to see what fault code pops up?
  20. @@darkchild101 have you manage to solve your issue?
  21. Hi Agree, I have the same model car as yourself 2003 2.5crd GV Manual. The Powertrain Control Module is present and placed in front of the battery ( protected by a metal guard) i have inserted the manuals image, but i can provide my own if you require? Just out of curiosity, have you checked to see if you have any fault codes stored in your dash?
  22. Just to let you know i've managed to solve the same issue that my 2.5crd 03 grand voyager had. Not sure if it'll help but here's the link to my thread - http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/1067-hard-acceleration-causing-eml-to-come-on/
  23. Update:- After chatting with a friend ( mechanic) and some fault finding, the issue was sourced back to a seized waste gate valve and failed waste gate actuator. This created excess pressure at higher speed/revs and the fact it wasn't being relieved, caused the engine to activate limp mode to stop it blowing itself up essentially. After replacing the waste gate actuator and freeing the waste gate, I can report the cars performance has returned. All is working as should. Appreciate everyone's input otherwise
  24. Im currently experiencing the same issue. Link to my post below, if you want to follow my progress and possibly use the info to cure your issue ( there's a few possible causes) http://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/1067-hard-acceleration-causing-eml-to-come-on/
  25. Have you checked what code the cars diagnostic system brings up as well? ( mines P0235) Fitted another sensor. Will be test driving tomorrow. UPDATE Sensor not at fault. Will be testing voltage readings and possible waste gate actuator at fault. Also been told perished, cracked or incorrectly fitted hoses/piping can cause leaks and bring up the issue.
