Hi can anyone tell me how many EGR solonoids are fitted to the mark 4 2.8 grand voyager i have a management light on and my local garage condemned the egr valve solonoid i purchased one from my dealer £39 when fitted the light stayed on, is was told there are two solonoids so i went back to the dealer with a photo of the offending part but he couldnt identify what it was. my question is are there two valves or is the one i need known by another name best Ron

Hi Andy At last someone who understands the problem the vehicle is mk4 Feb 2008 2.8 diesel auto I've just bought some electrical contact cleaner so I'll start with the sensors and go from there I also have a 7 series beemer with the same problem on the beemer you can hear the sensors clicking when the car is in reverse so it's easier to detect which sensor is defective Best Ron

Hi I had a problem with my car not starting also total loss of power under acceleration after a few weeks I put the car in for service they found the fuel fllter housing had a crack and was leaking fuel under load the reason why it was bad starting was the fuel filter housing needed to fill up before the fuel pump could get the fuel to the engine changed the housing £20 on eBay sorted the problem Hope this helps Ron

Hi I've tried the washers with the headlights on , I'm drawn towards the switch on the column when you press the wash button there's no evidence that it's working the wipers are ok it's just the washers don't function Ron

Has anybody come across the front headlamp washers and screen washers not working I've checked the fuse seems ok the washers are working fine so I assume it's not a washer pump fault Ron

Hi I'm new so be gentle my 57 plate gv audio has developed a audio problem when driving it just went silent When you turn the ignition off and restart the car it comes on for approx 5 seconds then goes silent it does it in radio, cd and DVDs player modes any ideas would be much appreciated
