Changed batteries today and put in the Optima red top which is supposedly the right battery for the 2.5 CRD. Drove home from the garage distance of about 7 miles. Car was parked for 5 mins and I started it to go to the shops and it stalled/cut out after 20 mins. Tried restarting it and it wouldnt start so I thought maybe needs fuel and I put in 7 litres as it was running low. It restarted then cut out again. Started it and cur out again. Final time it started and didnt cut out but was idling rough. There was a strange noise coming from the back and it was definitely from the back and it woild stop when I pressed the brakes (i wasnt moving at this stage). Noticed the oil light had came on and the engine management light was on I let it idle for about 5 mins and drove it back home. Oil light went out on its own nut engine light stayed on Any ideas

Anyone know what the part number is for 2001 diesel

On UK cars how do i determine the paint code of the car. Some folk have said there should be three letters on bottom line and i dont seem to have them on my vin plate

Hi got the car and the fobs (seller found them) put new batteries in the fobs are nothing happens at all. Is there any simple reset I can attempt hefore heading off to the dealer already called dealer and they want £45 to code the fobs

The steering on my 2001 2.5 diesel vibrates/shakes so much you can see my hands moving along with it. Strangely enough the problemis at its worst at low speeds and the faster I go the handling improves. The car shakes or should I say wobbles when negotiating corners or bends. Its far worse than the vibration you get with wheel balance problem. Feels like the wheels are about to come off Help please

Hi T14086 Thanks for your response. I will post more when i pick up the car. I have been looking for a Grand Voyager forages and just when I was about to give up I finally get one. So excited. Seller has been honest doors dont work electronically and has no key fob. I just feel these are problems I can easily tackle. No, yes ?

Newbie here. Picking up my first Grand Voyager next week, so excited. Its a 2001 diesel 2.5 Seller informs me it doesnt have a key fob and I am wondering how much is it to get a replacement key fob. Can you buy one off ebay and get it coded to car How easy is it to fix the sliding doors if they are not operating electronically?
