bignev's post in Problems Resolved. was marked as the answer
I absolutely and completely agree Richard!
SO many times a member appears, asks a question, receives information and suggestions, then disappears, with no clue as to what did, or didn't resolve their problem.
That just doesn't help others, and is really rather rude, in my grumpy old man opinion!
Like not being acknowledged when letting other drivers out of side roads, or to come through first, bah humbug.

I've double checked mine and the revs drop only slightly, maintaining some level of engine braking. As well as keeping the engine / gearbox speeds close so when you get back on the pedal there isn't a physical impact as the drive takes up again.
Fairly sure all 3 of my petrols have done the same. And it's the same 41TE gearbox as yours.

Good stuff matey!
But such a shame they didn't "fess up" when you went first time instead of trying to spank your wallet, and wonder why are we mostly cynical and untrusting of garages we haven't got a relationship with.
Same in my profession though, heating and gas engineer.Loads of guys might as well roll up on a horse called Trigger with their (lack of) tools in their pocket. Couldn't fix a McDonald's happy meal toy half of them.

Hi there,
It's fixed.
New alternator - blooming lovely now.
A lot of American guys have posted video of the Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town and Country doing exactly what mine did.

bignev's post in Mot Handbrake Failure No Reserve Travel On Hand Brake. was marked as the answer
There is a tiny slot on the inside (of the car) of the handbrake drum on the wheel, which you are supposed to be able to turn the shoe adjuster through!!!
It's an absolute sod to try to do. Lots of bits in the way, leaf springs etc.
No idea what the jumping lever could be sorry, but I'd suggest if you are capable to take the wheel and drum off to check the attachment of the cable and the returm springs - but I guess you've done that if you know the shoes are good.
Cheers
